GET TO KNOW: CRYSTAL WANG

Melbourne-based content creator Crystal Wang is an absolute delight. Her style is colourful, her personality is bubbly, and her love of all things Lego is absolutely contagious. But don't be fooled by her appearances – this girl is also a cosplay master and a competitive Lego builder, as seen on Lego Masters Australia. In other words, she's the complete package. And we're not the only ones who think so – Crystal has amassed a legion of fans who adore her unique sense of style and fun-loving personality. We're thrilled to have her on board as one of our Therapy Shoes ambassadors, and we can't wait to see what she comes up with next. We were lucky enough to snag an interview with her, and she did not disappoint. Read more to learn all about Crystal!

What are some modelling/acting gigs you’ve been part of that you absolutely loved?
Honestly, I absolutely love that every gig in the modelling and acting industry is different. None of them are the same from the crew to the creative; it’s so nice to rock up to a set and be surprised every time. My most fave is when there are dogs on set. Obsessed with little floofs!

Tell us more about being on Lego Masters.
This has been one of the best experiences in my life. I've always loved lego but never thought I actually compete with Australia's best! It was so surreal. Lego for me has always been about getting creative in a relaxing setting, i.e. with a hot bevy and podcast. Lego Masters was the opposite of this! The pressure was really on me to create the best pieces to my ability in such a short time frame. It was so fun and hectic at the same time. And I met the best people like-minded people in the process. Also, who wouldn't want to play with toys all day and not have to clean up?!?

You recently got married and featured McDonald’s in some photo dumps (is there a story behind this)?
My dream was always to have Macca's served as supper at the end of the wedding night. However, the venue didn't allow us to bring in food that wasn't catered by them. So one of my bridesmaids suggested we should just do a shoot at the Macca's around the corner and the photos turned out great! haha. She also left the wedding venue in the middle of the reception to get me my fave burger, which are Big Macs. She's the best!

Describe your style to us!
I always feel like I have so many different types of personalities when it comes to personal style. I could be feeling totally colourful and bubbly one day and more refined with neutrals the next. But I would say my style is playful with a touch of class. I think. :)))) But honestly, it's whatever mood I'm in that defines my style for the day.

What are your top 3 selects from our latest collection and where are you wearing them to?
I'm a huge fan of all things platform. Anything that could give a gal that extra height gets my vote! My absolute fave is Virtue in the blue for my more playful moods and black when I wanna downplay the play. haha. I've been wearing them out whenever I can, as they literally complete every outfit just perfectly! The Arizona heel is also a vibe, especially in the pink. Because these are a more comfy pair, I'd wear them to brunch with the gals or a light stroll at an art gallery. Oh! And the Ranger in lime is to die for!!!! She's perfect for chill vibes, festival vibes, party vibes, and all the vibes!
